| Financial planning - your key to
fulfilling life goals
|
Do you have a money map?
You have dreams. That your
children will get the best
education in the world.
That your parents will have
every comfort and medical
care money can buy. That you'll move into your dream home.
That your spouse will be free to make the career choices he or
she desires… But do you have a plan? |

Not many of us do. Yet dreams are far easier to fulfil when you
have a financial plan, a money map. Because then you don't
have to worry about where the money will come from.
Think of your dreams as the destinations on this map; your family are your fellow explorers; your income
and assets are the expedition's supplies; while expenses, liabilities, inflation and taxes are known hurdles;
and crises are the floods and avalanches, which you must be prepared for.
And your financial planner is your guide. |
| |
| Who is a financial planner? |
|
|
A financial planner is a person of long experience and wide
expertise, with up-to-date information about all sorts of financial
products and services.
Your financial wellbeing is his only criterion while recommending
an investment or discouraging a financial option: He doesn't personally benefit if you choose A over B.
(Unlike agents and brokers, who often have hidden agendas.) |
|
| |
“With a plan, you can meet
short-term and long-term goals.
Without one, it'll be one or
the other, perhaps neither." |
|
| |
|
|
| Best of all, his advice is not general gyan. Instead, it's tailored for you. (For the KASH formula of choosing
a planner, click here.) |
| |
| Basically, he helps you answer 3 key questions: |
 |
| 1. |
|
What do I want and by when? |
| 2. |
|
Therefore, how much money do I need? |
| 3. |
|
How must I optimize my investments and, equally important, my expenses, to make sure I have the
maximum funds with the minimum risk? In other words, what is my plan for financing my life goals? |
|
|
|
 |
|
| |
In short, the planner helps you chart and traverse your money map. And makes sure you keep on track.
If you're forced off course by circumstances, or if you lose your way, he helps you get back.
(Not surprisingly, Cornerstone's vision is to 'be a trusted provider of lifetime financial services'.) |

| How we do it |
The answers come from a thorough analysis of your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and financial
goals. And a careful selection of investments and actions. Our proprietary planning tool 'Keystone' helps
us in this.
We begin with an in-depth, in-person interview, and then develop the plan for achieving the goals one
by one. The first plan will be followed by quarterly reviews to track the actions and performance of the
investments. There are periodic telephonic and email follow-ups as well. |
| |
| Your customised Cornerstone Plan will cover: |
 |
| 1. |
|
Cash flow statement |
| 2. |
|
List your current investments and outstanding loans |
| 3. |
|
Personal balance sheet and asset allocation of your investments |
| 4. |
|
Your risk profile |
| 5. |
|
Personal financial goals and action plan to achieve them |
| 6. |
|
Insurance requirements and planning |
